5th gear is doing a feature on track days, or preparing your car for track days... or something like that tonight.

I have given up watching the show.... But... should I watch this, or will just be really annoying???... not much else on I suppose

noise restrictions ?
spare brake pads ?
top up oil ?
petrol can ?
something to chock the wheel ?
driving license ?
shoes ( Tut tut)
let the engine run for a wee while if turbo charged ( like his new S3)
blah, blah, blah

Why not shove that sort of advice on a website for the viewers

also according to Tiffany, you use the handbrake to get you around most corners

Aye he was really struggling to get the S3 to break loose progressively. It was very "understeery" to say the least....

I was under the impression that using the handbrake in a 4wd could knacker the diffs potentially

Used demo S3 anyone ?


Also - he never mentioned that you should use the handbrake incase the pads cool and the car rolls off. He only mentioned the boilng fluid issue. Suppose most pits are flat unlike our blessed KH

has anyone found a link that will let us send feedback to Channel 5 about how sh*te 5th Gear has become, and it was merely a polished turd before this series.

I have tried but the site is always down when the show is on and for a couple of hours after.

Audi obviously gave them a car to give away so they couldn't say anything bad about it.

I remember hearing that the Evo has a switch that disabled the drive to the rear when the handbrake is pulled on. I think it basically frees the centre diff. I don't think, however that the A3 would be the same.

I didn't like the fact that he was basically telling folk to act like hooligans on track once you have found the fastest lines. Surely not on the first trackday. I'm all for finding the limits but not in that way after one trackday.

5th Gear are trying to be Top Gear, but they totally miss the mark.

Lovejoy and the other 3 unknowns (spikey-goat-boy, curly-surf-lardo and grey-weirdo) are just so annoying

I gave up on Fifth Gear after show 1 of the new series, but even though I didn't see said Track Day feature I trust the opinions above and almost feel compelled to write in myself!!!

Sounds pretty misleading, though would have liked to see the context I guess.
