my soft top is leaking like a sieve, it needs reproofed as it's sodden all the way thru. my problem is that every time i reproof the bugger it rains again and washes the waterproofing solution off! so it's still soaking!
i don't have a garage so can't take the roof off and dry it indoors.
anyone got a hardtop they don't want????

the car's wet greg so i'm not sure if a car cover would let the soaking wet roof dry out - i've just looked at those on eliseparts and was thinking of getting one but i don't know if it'll help.
think i'll save up and get a hard top - anyone know where i can get one for less than £900???

Fair point

You could always take the roof off, put car cover on, then take roof inside for drying. Not sure that's such a great option though tbh...
as for roof, are you long- or short-tail?

doesn't sound like a bad idea actually - the car's in the back garden surrounded by a 6 foot high fence so it's out of sight anyway.
good plan greg!

I got a long list of questions back from building control and the baby arrived before I could answer them. I'll call you for help shortly.
PS
I lost my chimney pot last night and have no power due to two power poles being blown down 100 yards down the road!
100 yards thge other way a tree came down so, thanks to the new chain saw I have a new batch of fire wood.

We stayed over at friends after the bells. Having seen the two poles down i guessed that it wouldn't be a quick fix for scottish power. We popped home this morning for fresh clothes etc and headed up to my Mum & Dad's.
With no power and hence no heating i didn't want to stay at home withthe wee one if i didn't need to.
Do any of you smart leccy types know if it is ok to plug the boiler into a honda generator?
I'm not sure if the cureent would be stable enough and was concerned that it may blow the boiler circuit board?????
