Rich, how's Chester for a commute? an hour or so?
Have you ever tried Airbus? I thought that would be down your street?

try this Airbus - not sure what you do but a Fluid dynamics tool team leader sounds interesting 8)
scrap that idea unless you want a daily drive to India!
I know a few people in the broughton (chester) site - will ask them if you want?

Yeah we did, but I failed to find anything suitable. I will try again then!

Hopefully I will be Help Desk Bitch this time tomorrow which means I have the luxury of plenty of time to search! (Not that I've had weeks and weeks anyway! )

Got the job! I start on the 29th, no more dole for me soon (Not that I have seen a penny yet...) It is undoubtedly crap but they certainly look professionl and I have heared stories of promotions within 2 months. Lets hope... I'm also looking again at oil jobs and haven't given up entirely on BAe Systems... Not just yet...

Thanks for the support, your £tax is going to worthy causes again (Like the Blind Lesbian Single Mothers Performing Arts council)

Thanks Matt!

I'm going to have a proper stab at this help desk lark, get myself settled in while still looking for a proper job. I fully intend to blitz my bonus targets ASAP and get myself promoted, after all it is only answering the phone...Isn't it?

Who knows maybe there are proper jobs in Carphone wharehouse? I have my doubts but someone must be making a fortune form this lot.

The customer is always right, but often stupid, arrogant and argumentative...

Fortunatly it's an inbound call centre, so no cold calling and the inbound calls are supposedly from customers in the shops, so the angy customer will have a nice shop assistant at hand to vent their wrath at when given advice on bits of anatomy and where to stick them....

In a funny sort of way I'm looking forward to it, new challenge and all that. :D
