Bad luck! My 9 points doubled my insurance!
Thankfully that was a while ago now!
Tbh most people have 3 points and it normally doesnt affect your premium at all, in fact most companies expect it these!

During my recent phone round session most insurers said 3 points doesn't affect it. They expect everyone to have 3.

Tell my wife that... I've been warned sternly that if I get points, I'm getting a Fiat Cinquecento. Thankfully, 15yrs, no points ever... despite an M6 journey past 6 seperate mobile speed traps (end of month targets?) at over the limit speeds.

I thought I had got done last week on the way down to Swindon - past the van on the M74 doing a shade over 80. Turned on the gps satnav and switched it to read mph and realised that the car's dial was overreading by over 10%

I got 3 points in 1999, and my premium did not rise at all. However, when the points came off my licence, the premium dropped a 100 quid or so.

Andy, if you do get caught you could always ask the other half to take the hit for you!

by the sounds of it, im sure she'll agree to it!

Bingo !! So, if I ever do get done... I can tell the wife that it was actually a long term money saving excercise !! I like that one.
