Extending the range...

Post by Zippy » Sun Jan 28, 2007 10:48 pm

New model expected to be unveiled May 17th...

Rumours have been circulating recently of secret plans to extend the Watt family range. Working under the internal codename "Bump" the project has been proceeding secretly and smoothly for the past 6 months. Those working on bringing this new arrival to the Watt family are very excited. Combining the roles of co-designer and production director, Monica Watt is rumoured to be tired as a result of the effort involved in this new project but upbeat about the final outcome. Insiders have revealed that with much of the detail work outstanding and the final production process still on the drawing board the final release date may change but stated that "the project is currently scheduled for a May 17th launch date". There is much still to be done but everyone is hopeful for a trouble-free and timely delivery.

Iain, Monica & "Bump" Watt.

Good luck with your project. Just remember, they normally expect a second model after three or four years.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Great news guys, hope the launch goes to plan

Skye and I have been looking after a 1 year old model recently on a part time, but regular basis. A lot of work but very rewarding  We also look after a 4 year old model occassionally. This helps make up for the lack of launching a second model myself. Quite handy as you can return it before it requires any major/minor repairs or cleaning.

My original 8 year old model is progressing well, but has required some adjustments to some problems introduced by her co-designer and production director, who services were dispensed with quite a few years ago now

Congrats.

Will the new model be called 'Mini Zippy', or 'Zippy II'?

All the best.

Congratulations, and I hope the rest of the bump development and launch goes well! Now, repeat after me "people carriers are the work of the devil; people carriers are the work of the devil...."

Dont listen to people who tell you it is all going to be an incredibly hard grind - my wee one Max is 9 weeks old and so far it has actually been a lot of fun, especially now he is much more responsive. And last night, to our complete astonishment, he slept right through night - bit of a result! Might have been something to do with Dad breathing Highland Park fumes on him as he went to bed :D

Congrats Iain. I can assure you with recent experience (3 months today and counting) that having offspring is no excuse for not having an Elise - baby seats and prams do fit...providing you know which to buy.

Family holidays do become more difficult, however, and you might start taking some notice of estate cars
