Bollocks!

Post by Gareth » Sat Oct 22, 2005 9:13 pm

On my way home from picking up the bloody dog from my Mums house, I'm tired, just want home....and bang. Pulled over for speeding.

3 points
£60 fine.

75 in a 60.

FECK FECK FECK!!

Asked to be let off with a warning but no chance.

Me: Yeah, I don't speed on roads. I'm just back from Knockhill, that's where I do my speeding."

Cop: "We appreciate you may be a better driver than most but speedings speeding"

TBH, I didnt think the gun could get you in the dark.
Do radar detectors pick up guns?

The detector only warns you if it hits it, IIRC the band is pretty narrow.
Radar or laser will get you in the dark mate :( Bad luck, keech happens.

Myself and a few other on here (you know who you are  ) had a very lucky escape last week. barsteward are everywhere mate, just yer luck.

Sorry to hear that G. Should have set the dug on them... ;)

Where was it? I assume it was radar (rare these days) if they stopped you.

You guessed it. Drum straight is about 1.5 miles of straight smooth tarmac! There car was tucked away behind bushes. They had to flash torches to enable me to see them. I thought t was very sneaky.

Usual sarky pish. Do you know what speed limit it it.
"Yes I do, it's a 60".

Shows me 75 on the gun.

So, we won't be on your Xmas card list.
"Probably not, but next time you're at Knockhill I will give you a pax". :?

Don't know what speed I was doing on my speedo. Never looked. Can't of beein going quick as I would of panicked and stomped the brakes!

Of course, also went on about the car, how quick it was and nice it looked!!

Thats rather ghey. At least insurers are now supposedly "ignoring" points upto 3 or even 6, as it seems everyone has them....

I was stopped at 2.30am last saturday. Saw police behind me, came off a roundabout, then hit 60mph "briskly".

Pulled me over and gave me some sarcasm. Just what I wanted at that time of the morn!

"whit wis that aw about" and "do you want tae keep your licence".
Didnt say anything apart from sorry and yes, and they let me on my way.

And I hadn't even been speeding!

Yea challenge them, ask for a copy of a calibration certificate for the 'gun' and training certificates for the operatives.
