Just clay barred and harly waxed the beemers hlight covers

Post by Sanjøy » Tue Feb 06, 2007 11:52 pm

5-7 min job after chipping off the salt that tried to bond itself on.

Will report back if it is worth while and manages to repel any of the crud flying about at the moment.

Also chucked in a healthy pint of halfrauds screen wash concentrate. Knew that 5l special would be coming in handy.

Any other winter old SE tips ?

Buy a Fordie with a quick clear windscreen :D Should be compulsory in the UK (the windscreen that is). Might have helped Rich this morning if they were.

Only other thing I can add is that I never have the hot or cold air blowing onto the windscreen. This seems to take the film on the inside of the w/screen longer to build up and therefore doesn't mist up quite as readily. You do need to start with a clean screen.

I'm going to bring the landy up here, could have rolled straight over him.

Mind you I'd have missed him as I'd still be 2 miles away tacking down the road at a leisurely 23 mph and 16 mpg... :D
