Thinking of hiring a wee boaty to go sea fishing,interested?

Mate and I are tempted after a foray in to fly fishing last year or two. Theory is to fill up a chest freezer
I reckon it would be good to be on a boaty with people I know (worst things happen at sea etc) so putting out feelers to see if anyone is keen.
Looking here for boats, tackle etc. unless anyone else can advise better.

How big a boat are you looking for?! We've got an open top with a small outboard for mackerel fishing. You can catch literally hundreds in no time at all! Me folks are also looking at getting a bigger one in the summer which im sure i could nab if required!

Went Sea fishing a few years ago. It was great fun even if it was made easy by the Sonar.

Nothing big at all, prob something that will take 4-6 people. Just looking for a guided day out fishing. Sonar would be good.

So....you have caught the guy that skimmed your card,have tie wraped his hands and feet,gaged him with a cue ball and one of your least favourate ties,placed him in a large strong sack and need to dispose of him while having fun and drinking beer...??

I went Makerel fishing last year and it was great fun even though it was a struggle to catch them . We covered them with oats and fried them.

I went sea fishing for cod out of Arbroath. We went all the way out to the Bell Rock Lighthouse. Twas a 6 hr trip and a couple of folk puked for the whole 6 hours. Mightily impressive display.

There are boats down at Eyemouth that take you out fishing. Or I'm sure pretty much any small fishing port will have day-trip boats.

Had a fantastic day out sea fishing last july/august time.
Boat was based out of Oban. We went down past the connel bridge while the tide was calm and we were catching dog fish. (loads of them!)
Think it was 30 quid per head - for 6 of us. Went out at 9am and back at 3.30pm.
The boat and equipment were spot on and the skipper was excellent.
Well recommended
