After buying a Road Angel, I was looking through their site and it appears you can get the alerts etc direct to your mob, rather than through a RA unit. All you need is a 'phone running Symbian Series 60 2nd Edition, and a GPS bluetooth receiver.

Seems to me like the software download from RA is free, so all you need outlay for is the GPS receiver - £30 IIRC or thereabouts on fleabay.
Thought that might excite some members here, given the number of phone geeks we have
