Not really different, you're bound to see a few when you're there!
Well worth doing though but take it easy if you don't know the track.

Hi Ali,

How's Lagos?

As for the ring, it's great. Problem is that it is very very busy a lot of the time when it's open - you really want to go on a wet weekend if you're learning the circuit, because there's less traffic (no motorcycles) to worry about, and the wet means you'll keep the throttle under control and thus (hopefully) not fall foul of the many traps that lurk for the uninitiated.

Ben's site http://www.nurburgring.org gives you all the practical advice you need.

So my advice would be to go soon!

Cheers,
Robin

i have done a 2 or 3 trips now, normally in conjunction with a LoT trackday at Spa or Zandvoort. As robin said, its a very busy place unless its wet. Its still a great experience.

I would love to do a proper trackday there later this year, but will wait and see if i have any money left as i may be moving house.

I'll be going sometime this year and the only organised days I could find are RMA. £600-ish IIRC (!!) and the only available dates were in Nov (hence high chance of rain, snow, fog, etc).

Looks like public days are the only realistic option this year - though there are some reasonable weekends with full days on Fris or Mons, which'll be a bit quieter.

Who's up for going - it'd be best to get a few people together?

Not specifically, but there should be :D

Mark R and I were idly pondering a trip this year, though struggling to work out the best dates. Looks like it might be post summer.

Who's up for a trip? Ideally, we'd find a weekend with a good amount of track time with a Mon or Fri also when the track'll be a bit quieter. Newcastle - Amsterdam boat works well (expect for me if it's rough :puke ). Even better then if we can link with Spa/Zandvoort track day.

Interested??

Depending on the timing and my Atom being delivered in time (May) then I'd love to to give it a shot :D

Me and a few mates are going at the end of may, I'm really looking forward to it, it'll be my first visit.

Not taking the Elise though - going in my mates Evo 4, accompanied by an Escort Cossie.
