No idea really but if I'd never owned an Elise before and somebody offered me £10k plus your car, or the Noble....

I'd have the Elise!

I know that probably wont help but there you go.

Unless you like to spend lots of time travelling back and forth to dealers, I'd head towards the Exige.

They also have a Elise for sale, at the same garage. I feel they are a little rich on the price side, but the Noble has been there foe a few weeks now.

Ditto - personally i wouldn't! - - mine was a 3.0 but I undertstand you need to be sure that a 2.5 has all the factory upgrades - if necessary check with the factory

I remember seeing the Elise for sale well before xmas, the distintive plate jogged my memory. 13995 !!! I know it's a 51plate but I would have said 12995 from a dealer and less private ???

Nobles are starting to fall into the more affordable category for the majority of peeps but that means there getting older, even when new they had some iffy probs so I don't know how age would take it's toll on these beasties.

I would hazard a guess at 8k trade in

always a worry when a Dealer has the liz spec as 'ABS'

I'm with Dan on the 9k tops trade-in. They'll want to sell at £13,000 or thereabouts so will want a hefty mark-up.

buy a noble - many will tell you not to, but go for it :thumbsup ;)

Strange I was thinking about this just the other week. A really well sorted elise will give better enjoyment than a noble anyday it just wont have the presense. If its the look your after and reliability is not an issue by all means go for the noble. If you listen to the mags, "best chassis in the world, not to be built by lotus." ill have the lotus thanks.
