Sounds great to me apart from the need to wear tight trousers....
Wondering what anyone has thought of it....!
Cheers

is this not where you run around the countryside looking for checkpoints in a race - of the running variety?
If so, where does the need for tight trousers come from?

...ah...em..the "trousers" are apparently to protect your legs from damage from bushes and stuff because its all cross country and can get quite rough...well, thats what they say....

Did orienteering in the daylight in Fort William.
Then again 2 days later in the pitch black in. 4 of us bundled in to the back of a Transit van, driven for 10mins and dumped...
"find your way back and you're not allowed on the roads... you must pick up 3 flags along the way, and you'd better work out where you are 1st"
Comedians those Outward Bound people... quite un-nerving seeing all these eyes looking at you in the dark, until you realise they are just sheep eyes reflecting with your torchy/hat thing.
Good fun though.
