Brutal!

And seriously lucky. Looks almost flukey that the driver area is untouched (imagine if it had been RHD.) But it is difficult to tell what is crash damage and what is emergency services damage.

Could be wrong, but the separation of car and roof will be down to cutting gear courtesy of emergency services.

Quite a belt nevertheless!

I'd have to agree, and is also the general concensus on the original thread.

It is amazing how relatively unscathed the driver area is - pure fluke, the guy must be ever so slightly thankful

Is that "oversteer"?

The reason I ask is I've heard it described as the back end trying to overtake the front end

I've lost count of the number of RTAs I've seen in which there's a catarstophic injury to a pax, but driver walks away :?

if the roof was missing then yes but i can't think why they would want to chop the back off the car and looking at where the failures are they are on seams and some would be damn difficult to do and would take a long time especially where it has separated near the rear wheel.

Something has failed dramatically in the body
