I'm a lightweight and will be taking the easy option of watching the repeat at 4pm. Please don't post the results!
I'm looking forward to it . . . I'm hoping that the mix up of drivers will lead to a more interesting season than the last couple.

I got up at 3 to watch the race, wish I hadn't. People say F1 was boring with Schumacher-if this race was anything to go by it isn't getting any better!! should have stayed in bed.
For all of you going to watch it this afternoon I would do something more interesting like watching a tree grow for 2hrs!
(my 2p!)

Its interesting from a patriotic "hope the youngster does well" point of view and for DC's rather big moment but not much of a race.

T'was a very impressive showing for Lewis, especially in the first corner.
It's always hard to judge how the season will go on the basis of the first race, but I reckon Lewis will really dent Alonso's challenge to Ferrari.
DC's move on the williams could have ended much worse. His car passed a bit too close to Wurz's head

listening to thecommentators it seems that ferrari may have some cooling issues, esp when following another car.
DC's move....wurz must've got a fright!!!!
alonso is a class driver with a lot of experience which should give him an advantage over lewis throughout the season.
its a good start but at the mo thats all it is for him.
we'll see how he fares when the races get toguher and conditions more tricky.
i really hope he does well though.
feel a bit sorry for button ind,he was the big hope but now he seems to be kinda ignored by the media

Although it was a fairly dull race, I reckon we are in for an interesting season. Even BMW look ready to mix it with the big boys!

I wasn't sure about Kimi making the move to Ferrari as I'm a big fan of his, but never been too keen on Ferrari, but I think he's made the right decision. He could have been cruising to wins like that all last season if he'd had a reliable car.
Really chuffed for Hamilton . . . you couldn't ask for much more on your debut in F1 at the age of 22!

I used Sky+ and watched it at 9am.
Although not front runner material, the Adrian Newey Red Bull cars might come alive as we get in to the season also.
I noticed on one of the speed trap captions that DC was in the top 3 for the max speed. Considering that it's a new car the team got pretty late, Webber sticking it on 7th, and DC's hounding over the back of Honda's and Williams... gotta be a good sign considering the team say they haven't a clue how to set it up as yet...
Well done Lewis... although, I do wish the commentators would shut up a bit. It was getting to the stage near the mid-end of the program where I was getting thoroughly fed up with the constant flow of Hamilton verbalage coming from them. It's that kinda 'put on a pedestal' stuff that can end up with you disliking the object on the pedestal despite it not being their fault.
