Morning all,
Our inherited telly is now on the blink and getting fairly dodgy. Picture keeps going wobbly and the sound keeps cutting out so its time for a new one!
What I want is a 32" or bigger CRT widescreen. Not all that bothered about High Def but it would be nice (And I can then justify the Xbox360

) however I don't understand the High Def terminology.
I don't want plasma or LCD as I personally think the response time for the non-top spec ones is utter sh*t with the picture pixelating like mad as well as having pants contrast and colour. Have you ever seen the Bravia advert with the bouncy balls on a Bravia telly?!? Looks awful. CRT you get alot more for your money from what I have seen.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Ta

Have you any idea how much piece and quiet I get when she is watching Lost/ER/Desperate housewives/Without a Trace/CSI/NCIS/Judge Judy/etc?
Defiantly in need of a replacement or she will want to spend "quality time" instead

Try the following CRT forum for advice

I have a 7 year old 32" Toshiba CRT widescreen still working away fine. Nicer picture than many LCD screens I have seen. Havn't succomed to the lure of LCD/Plasma as I don't have time to watch that much TV.

Similar situation and I just bought this one for out here in Nigeria:

OK I wasn't paying for it and could have got a big plasma but this one leaves more of the budget for important stuff.

Interesting but probably not the best idea.
My boss actually found kevlar body armour in his spare wardrobe...
