Lets be honest though... a few years back, under Berti Vogts.. getting beaten 2-0 in Italy would have been a good result.

I think the press have got a bit carried away after a fairly lucky 1-0 win over France. We've got one of (if not the most) difficult groups, so if we qualify it will be against the odds... so shouldn't be expected.

It a good point. Getting beat was the expected result .... doesnt make it any less painful though. Away to Faroes next ... better win that one. The qualifiers are our Euro / World cup these days :?
