Anyone drive one of these beasties ???

I've seen them go for funny money from 25 to 28k

I came across this one which has the touring car graphics, but would you pay 22k for it :?:

I must admit I am a fan along with other ford classics, mk2 escort RS2000, Mexico etc.

Bruv in law's neighbour has a mint Cosworth up on axle stands in some atmosphere-controlled oxygen bubble thing!!! However it's not RS500 spec...he seems to think it'll be worth a fortune one day, maybe it will, but weren't these things made for DRIVING rather than looking at?!

What differentiates an RS500 from a regliar one then? Anoraks de-lurk...

more power and different rear suspension pick-up points? I think.

Mate has a sierra that was stickered as an RS500, but no one was ever sure if it was a real one or not. Still, had 460 bhp running on only four of the possible 8 injectors 8)

Wow!!! that would defo go in my 'if I won the lottery' garage!! I'll send that link to someone; it might go well with his RS200 and 12k miles mk 2 RS 2000 (with lovely brown interior trim!)

Nice find mate, a definate classic! I had a toy XR 4x4 (asked for an XR4i but dad got it wrong :? ) in red and black texaco colours - well worth the money for the nostalgia alone :)

Looks a bit normal (barring orange stickerage) - no ventilated disks even

Think it's a real one ?? Not sure.

Certainly not a nice looking classic....

Wouldn't say no to one of these as a weekend car, but would it be as fun as the elise :P

It does have the ventilated discs but they're not grooved or cross drilled :P
