Tess Cosis - Cheepah..........Happy Easter
Posted: Wed Apr 04, 2007 3:18 pm
Brought the Exige out of hibernation and took the wife out for lunch today.
Crieff - Lochearnhead at a tourist pace... then a blast up Glen Ogle towards Killin at a quicker rate (three screams/two punches in the arm and six involuntary braking motions from Gail).
Mutterings about "why could you not have kept the Boxster?" when cabin noise levels and temperatures were akin to a Macbrayne ferry engine room
Killin to Ardeonaig on the south Loch Tay road is not to be recommended as there are holes that would serve as tank traps and wreck any Elise driven at a brisk pace. (Shame on you Stirling Council)
However lunch at the Ardeonaig Hotel is to be recommended. Out in the courtyard in blazing sunshine (17 degrees!!!!!) .
Onwards to Kenmore brings an improvement in road surface at the Perth and Kinross boundary then back to open hairpins over the Glen Quaich road to Amulree.
Wiper blade gave up the ghost trying to wipe a rampant cock pheasant from my screen........ so a quick detour to Tescos in Perth for a two pack of 24" wiper blades for the bargain sum of £2.49
The blades come with three separate adaptors and fit both S1 and S2 Loti.
The money I saved went immediately on a very nice bottle of chilled Chablis (Reduced from £6.99 to £3.99)
I hope to use this as foreplay and regain my wife's affection!!
May see some of you young whipper snappers at KH...... when Old Man Gibson and I venture out this friday to break up the TVR procession
