I was completely gutted to end up with a Fait Brava with 101670 miles (I didn't think that was possible in a Fiat!) Last night
- after been told I would have their Honda Elise. So had a pish journey to work - convinced the clutch was from an agricultural source.
Turned out to be a nice sunny day so was really looking forward to picking up my car (especially after the Brava)
Arrived to see my car plus new wheels
Then Simon gave me a set of keys so was a bit stunned - turned out to be their S2 Honda Elise. He said 'just be back in half an hour'
The car - Honda powered S2 running 48s on OZ's. Also had the 4 pots and Simon had adapted a stage 2 zaust for the Honda. He also seems to hate Nitrons and love Ohlins (down to his love of softly set-up cars)
So I was expecting it to be fast and from my experience stage 2 =
So I headed out and hit the first roundabout and got the backend sliding a bit.
First impressions were that yes it was very loud and the gear change was very sweat - rifle bolt like. The engine was a peach a lot more fuller mid range than the Yota.
Finally got out the 50 zone and onto some back roads and bloody hell was it quick! Very odd to rev past the rev limiter light especially as the noise builds to truly silly levels. Then with one eye on the road, watch as the needle winds past 8000 and practically off the gauge - think to myself this is very fast and very silly
The brakes are good but I found it easy to lock the driver’s side (maybe a bit of inbalance?)
Overall I knew it would be good – but was particularly impressed with the gear change. The car was very softly set-up, which I am sure, would be great on road but did not suit the rest of the car - especially volume wise! The car also seemed to suffer from roll-over steer prob due to the set-up.
In comparison to the Bemani I think its close, the SC has silly mid range, which does dull the top end. While the Honda is just amazing! IF I ever get a Honda
It took me a while to calm down from the sensory assault.
Here are a few pics of their car

Many thanks to BK for excellent service and trusting me with the keys
Back to my car, below are two pics of Tango. Must admit she looks a bit like an 4x4 with the ride height
While there Simon got Tango up on the lift and did a thorough check over. Simon later reported that try as he might all he could find was a tie in the driver side door had broken which means the door will self close. So happy with that
Tango will be visiting Dan on the way up to KH to get some Nitrons and toe links. This should put her in excellent health for the 26th May
