Snetterton - Result

Just spoke to Neil - only got some quick details.
Neil is 12th on the grid overall, 6th in class B.
Steve Williams is out in front in class B, 2.0 seconds ahead of the next class B car.
Skeggsy, Sean Bicknell, the low-power supercharged honda and two more cars which I forget make up the next 0.5 seconds.
Neil is next (i.e. 6th in class B).
I didn't check out who was on pole overall, Walshy has to be favourite, though he is giving up some power and weight to some of the other class C cars, so who knows.
Neil blames his mediocre performance on tyre pressures and lack of experience of the circuit (he had never driven a single lap until qualifying). He says that the bacon & egg roll might also have effected his performance
He expects to make up some ground, but doesn't think he's likely to catch Steve Williams (who has the car that is best optimised for the class B regs, maximum power, closest to minimum allowed weight, and is also a very experienced and not too shabby racing driver

).
Good luck neil!
Cheers,
Robin

Neil came 3rd in class B, 6th overall.
1 Chris Randall "Randy" class C .
2 Simon Scuffham class C.
3 Steve Williams class B.
4 Andrew Kell class C.
5 ?? N/A honda, class B.
6 GingeR, class B.
Not sure about the rest.
Andrew Walsh started from 3rd but had to retire with mechanical problems, as did Graham Walsh I believe and at least one other K-series entrant (gearbox).
Apparently the tyres don't last the race as there were a lot of spins and offs (Neil reckons he went off the circuit at least 10 times!?!).
Looking forward to Oulton Park on the 20th now, with Team Rough Love in class A and Team GingeR in class B representing TSE.
Cheers,
Robin

BTW, a big diet is required, so anyone who fancies contributing to TSE representation can download the regs and look at weight saving options for class A and class B - ta!

6TH out of about 30+ starters? Great result!
Should get a crew together and head to Oulton to watch the two SE entries at the next round

Not sure what the timings will be for o/p - I hope to come along but won't be able to leave EDI until 6pm on the Saturday, so probably too late for the actual race entrants who will need their sleep
Cheers,
Robin

If you take the heater matrix out you need a heated windscreen - can has to be MOT passable at all times.
Becareful about what you take out they are very keen that peeps dont build cars to spec.
