T'was to avoid making a huge hole in a hedge (as I discovered new levels of understeer) ... worked a treat in avoiding hedge, trees & ditch. Would not hurry to try it again

Just heard on Radio1 news that Ferrari are talking about talking the guy to court for breach of trademark, claiming that it's no longer a Ferrari cos it's been stretched.

I reckon i've heard stories about Rolls Royce doing this in the past to protect the prestige of their cars/badge, something about a Rolls Royce ice cream van or something, I can't remember.

Yeah heard something about that too. There was another news topic on PH recently about Italian police siezing some of the oh-so-nasty MR2 fezza replicas and crushing them. Apparently the guy building them wasn't defrauding anyone as all the new owners knew they were replicas, but it was still seen as a crime. Nothing like national pride in your motor industry!

TBH, once you've bought a product, regardless of what it is, aren't you entitled to do with it whatever the fark you want?

At the end of the day, you've paid the price the supplier deems worthy to purchase said item, so how can they argue?

(unless you sign something saying you won't alter the thing which I can't imaging even Ferrari would make buyers do )
