I took the orange beastie to work on Friday as the BMW was in for a service and had a great time! Loads of blokes looked on in amazement when I got in the car and it was thumbs up all the way from anyone under the age of about 11!!! They don't have boost your confidence these wee lumps of plastic, mind you, there was also the boy racers at the traffic lights etc., who thought that they could beat a woman in a Lotus! The smile was wiped off their face when I put the foot down and off it went

And of course, even when you are, you won't be engaging in anything like that on the public highway!scott_e wrote:

On the other hand, driving the car like it's meant to be driven does often mean that the majority of other hardware gets left in the dust...but take a leaf out of Kelvin's book, whose spirited yet legal driving one day resulted in an Escort RS Turbo exiting stage left through a hedge. He went back to check the bloke was OK, but we wouldn't really want to put people in that position in the first place would we

LOL. Oh I remember that post well. Feels like a lifetime ago now. Last time I was in Scotland I bumped into the ex RS Turbo driver in the local boozer. He now has Subaru.
