Apart from difficulties seeing to overtake, are there any good reasons to avoid LHD cars? I guess you'll always have more difficulty selling one on, but the saving to be made on the initial outlay does make some cars look worryingly affordable.

Great fun when when your grandad of 80yrs. old is sitting next to you when your trying to keep ahead of a bunch of guys on sportsbikes... Then as you let them pass they look over to find that it was an old guy that held them up for miles on end... and get the big thumbs up... priceless..DDtB wrote:Tut's car aside obviously....
When I see someone driving something like a LHD 911 I just think..... hmmm... so they couldn't afford a RHD one then....
Funny laughing at them at automatic car park barriers etc. though when you see then having to get out to get the ticket or crawl over the pax seat!
Or when you pulled over.. and the cops start questioning the passenger and you don't let on for as long as possible...
kind of miss the LHD..

Way I see it is any car worth having in LHD is either going to be slow you won't need to worry about overtaking or so fast you won't have to worry about overtaking either!

Although a LHD car is worth less in the UK, it is worth more in Europe.
They can not get enough LHD Elises over there, so are taking RHD's across and converting them at a cost of £2K.
If I ever sold N3 TUT, then it would be over the pond.
No disadvantage to one on the track, and not really on the road once you get used to it, apart from rear 3/4 vision at junctions and reversing. I have a bit of a problem in keeping too far away from the verge and being over to the middle, but that is probably because that is how I wrote off my first Elise.
