Thanks MMC..

Thought it was time for some balance...

Had noticed a few weeks back that the bonded plastic dowel which holds the near side grill in place above the radiator had snapped off. So, it was a bit flappy (just a little)... and I didn't want it getting any flappier when I go to knockhill in 2 weeks. No great issue and I couldn't say whether it was like that when I picked it up in January or not to be honest, I was just too excited at getting my toy at the time.

So, was out for a wee run this morning and the wife also wanted to go to the Gyle. Dropped in to MMC for a chat with Greame and mentioned the grill in case it needed a new one ordered up. He had a quick look, we whisked it through to the services dept where they (I think it was Ian??) fabricated a new metal dowel and bonded it on to the grill. I was on my way again within an hour, minus flappy grill.

No cost, plus a free coffee. I know it isn't exactly the most technical of things to get done... but I really wasn't expecting them to just stop working on an Aston and fix mine there and then when I had just dropped in off the street. I had expected to be quoted a jaw dropping price for a new grill and book it in for another day.

So, big thanks to Greame & Ian... and great service guys. Keep it up. Maybe see you next year for an Exige. Greame's new Black Exige S was round the back looking 8) ... and there was a lovely Chrome Orange Exige S just delivered.

Mint looking 340r taking pride of place inside also... who's buying it then?

Good to hear positive feedback on Murrays. It's all too easy to forget to praise when it's due.

Well... it's there now. A grey one, think Greame said it was their original demo car when it was released... so now it's back. 1 or 2 minor stonechips to sort, but apart from that it looked spot on.

Actually, a red one went past the showroom when I was there too... had an air scoop thingy.
