My girlfriend just phone me quite shaken to tell me that she'd nearly been hit by a car as she was walking up the pavement! in Tollcross.
Guy came down from Bruntsfield to tollcross direction, swerved across both lanes of traffic, mounted the pavement and smashed into a pub!
He then proceeded to leave an unconcious girl in the passenger seat and run screaming into said pub!
wierd!

She was just walking up the street and it went across the pavement infront of her, as far as I'm aware. Crazy world indeed!

Didn't see it happen but saw the aftermath.
Had to slap myself across the face to check I wasn't imagining it!! I can understand your girlfriends shock, not something you would expect to happen right before you. Its good shes OK.
Saw a few crashes yesterday after having a few seconds of swervy stuff myself south of Killin towards Lochearnhead. Very Very lucky to still have the car in one peice though - must have been the greasy roads after weeks of no rain.
Girl friend in pax seat wasn't too happy because I checked the car for damage before asking if she was OK. Good to see where my priorities lie !
