I did one at Crail in the summer along with Neil / 4mm / Mckeann * and others - but i think the problem is he is so busy down south that he doesn't come up often. I think Tut arranged the last couple of weeks he came up........twas around the time of Tut Towers 05.

Was fun .......although i still can't drive for sh*t

If the proposed mexi-towers goes ahead, he'll probably come up for that.

its well worth a trip down south for more training. i've done a day at crail and 3 days at north weald, and i can nearly drive now.

but seriously, 4 days for me (and some trackday tuition) and i have a real understanding of what the car is doing on a circuit, and how to drive it properly. This can make you a much safer and faster driver. As mac, gordon and shug will find out next year when they get blasted into the weeds.

Think i might take a trip down to North Weald.

Is it an overnighter or can you make it there and back in the same day? :?

takes at least 6 hours, so you would need to leave at 3am, then drive all day at the airfield, then get back at 10pm.

I reckon its dooable but i dont know how much you would learn and remember as you'd be quite tired.

best bet is to try and arrange a day with a few other folk off here, then you can share accomodation etc and go for a few drinks aswell. walshy likes a drink too.

Ive just signed up to the car limits forum so will see what the chat is on there. Would be great to get him up to Crail.

Will get in touch with them and see what i can sort out.
Cheers for the info :D

basically, he will only come up to crail a week either side of a tut towers style event.

no chance any other time as he lives 15 mins from NW, and he can sell out every day there a month in advance.

best bet is to get 3 other like minded folk (count me in as one) arrange a dat in advance thats free, and everyone book it. I can sort out nice accomodation, we can have a few beers, and the drive is a bit more exciting at 140mph if thers 4 of us.

With my usual 'dependant on date' pish, it's something I want to do too. Have done a fun day with him at Crail, but not a serious driver day.

Keep us updated on the list, I'm a possible.

who the fcuck is this walshy guy? Sorry to be ignorant... I know from SELC*CK that he's a driver trainer - but is he really that good? Surely there must be others with his experience/skills/time to book?

<--- keen to get to grips with fast driving without spinning!

You seen that bit from Wayne's World when Heather Locklear walks in?

That's the kinda response Walshy tends to get from Elise types.

I could try and run off a list of the guys achievements but would no doubt cock them all up.

I think test driver for an F1 team is in there somewhere.

Oh and he's as much a lunatic as the next elise owner (if not more so)
