More F355 tinkering. This time with a chissel

I decided to do a couple of cosmetic jobs on the 355 which had been bugging me recently.

1st up was the Sills. A couple of the cars I looked at when car-hunting had replacement carbon fiber sills and, whilst mine weren't too rusty, it did niggle at me a bit.

The c/f ones were ordered from PowerSpeed Carbon with the silver c/f inserts.

Bought from Australia, made to spec in Japan, paid for in US Dollars Mind you, the exchange rate is cool so it was almost a bargain(ish)

First time I had attacked a ferrari with a chissel... great fun!!

What came off (thankfully) and what was going on (hopefully)

Yeeeehaaa!!!

By this point I was almost brave....

The day after getting the car I had made a bit of an ar$e of cleaning the centre consol surface and managed to scratch one of the panels and also the ashtray. That also niggled a bit.

I knew there were a few options for sorting it out but I also noted that PowerSpeed Carbon did a Carbon Fiber set for the interior panels.

I wasn't too sure whether I would like it or not but a couple of emails later and it was agreed that I could have a full set on approval with the option of simply returning the items if I wasn't entirely happy.

I wondered that it might not be to everybodys taste but what the hell... I really like it. It is far more subtle and matt than it appears in the pics. The

So a big to PowerSpeed Carbon from me.

Jim - you are a seriously brave man

If I ever have the great fortune to win the lottery and invest in a Ferrari, there is no way on earth I could pluck up the courage to go near it with any tool, let alone a chisel!!

Great stuff, awesome car 8)

awesome effort - love the 355 shape - simply tremendous.

The only thing i don't like though is the steering wheel - doesn't look anywhere like nice enough to belong in a car that beautiful!

Look forward to seeing it on the road soon :D
