Many thanks indeed for the loan of your car! Fecking loved it! Handles soooo much better on the s2 suspension. Really is a drivers car and actually enjoyed having to work the car in different gears etc etc. Despite only 120 ish ponies she really does go well when asked. Roof off all the way (300 miles) despite it peeing down with rain on the way there. Came across a Yellow vx with the roof on!

Was also nice to drive 150 miles and only use half a tank of petrol!

Nice one brov! Cheers Ed

Yes Dom - we are not all nutters

I could get 250 miles out a full tank on my S1.

Did more checking with Craig, and there should be no more than 3mm movement horizontally from the driveshaft at the outer CV.
He is pretty sure that the circlip has gone, as there is no sign of the bearings having collapsed.

Ed's been talking to Martin Edwards (I think0 who is going to send over some pictures of the innards - apparently there is a mod to the shafts to improve reliability - meanwhile we'll measure the play in Ed's shafts (quiet, shug), and feed that back to them.
Thanks for checking!
Cheers,
Robin

back to original thread.....
no worries matey, glad you enjoyed it
we just spent three days in it. fecking ace.... it's finally working properly again..
cheers andyg for helping change the throttle body

it seems to have developed a rather satisfying burble/pop/bang etc since the change....

although no idea why that would be the case.... probably means somethings going to break....
