Good luck with the move.
There are several petrol stations on the main dual carriage way that goes from Busby to Hamilton through EK. Also there is one not too far from the John Wright Sports Centre. There is also one at the Sainsburys near Hairmyre. Hope this helps.
Shoudl never run out of petrol

Straven back roads is where its at!! Your not to far away.
For petrol theres two Shells for VPower in Hamilton. I think shell has replaced the BP in EK, however I think its a franchise type garage and I wasnt impressed by the guy that runs it!

Shell is near the village - as Alan says franchise - 2-3p per litre more expensive than most of the other garages & won't take Drivers Club card. If you want v-power (or prefer Shell) best to go to Rutherglen or Hamilton.
BP on Queensway
Esso on Kingsway
+ various stations at respective supermarkets.
