Just started the car's pre TT inspection....
I have one rear Neova near the limit and with a drill bit in it, no stock in the country just now either
This is compounded by the locking wheel nut socket having disappeared.
If i can't get a hold of a new rear tyre, can anyone help out? Same goes for the socket (do rover parts dealers do them?) IIRC it had a 29 stamped on it.
And it needs a toes link and the wheel bearing i replaced 3 months ago has shed its grease.....

Nothing like being prepared mate... and that's nothing like it!
I'll check out me wheel key and see if it's the same. If so, you're welcome to it - I shed those crappy wheelnuts a while ago.

Most garages could get the nut off for you, order replacements from eliseparts. I wouldnt get locking ones again if it were me, it will only happen again.

cheers shug.
I knew the rear was near the limit, but the drill def wasn't there 10 days ago. Hadn't ordered new ones as i knew they were out of stock.
Toe link (inner LH) will be at glasgow mmc for me to collect tomorrow, was fine last time i looked about 5 weeks ago.
The bearing's fine for just now, will get it done nightshift the week after TT.

Woody,
I've got 2 rear T1-Rs spare if you need em, they've got easily 4mm on them. Probably not ideal, but there if you need em

That'd be ace. Are they new? If so i can replace them once there's stock in the country. Only thing will be getting through there this week, don't have the estate.

Buy a set of T1R's to get you by. Then take them off and srote them for the winter when you do get you yoko's.... cost the same in the long run...
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

All sorted out now (nearly) just a few bits to fit.
Big thanks to Stu for the tyres, pads and discs (though they were on their way this weekend anyway).
Replaced the offside tie rod inner end, but it now seems there's the merest hint of play from the out board joint that i missed as well - will do for another few hundered miles. Tracking is fine by the tape measure method as well
Wont make it to KH now, so have a good one and i'll catch up at the caravan
