DTM race 2 Brands in car footage

Post by Andy G » Fri Jun 15, 2007 8:46 am

Warning - this footage may make you want to join the LOTRDC.

Here's the footage from car 44, with a certain Paul Golding starring at druids, after and inspired move round the outside of the pack, which i followed!

Some other highlights - Gav flying of in a cloud of dust, a good scrap with Thorney, Tom in his second drive of his Elise, Skeggsy (did he pass under yellow???) in Malcoms SC Exige, Doug in his Class C dissapearing down the straigh special, and Hans at the end........was just preparing a pass when I spotted the chequered flag......gutted.

Tess and one or 2 other cars who got stuffed byt eh safety car also appear towards the end.

I've removed the safety car laps, but see if you can spot where! (flukey editing)

Outstanding!!!

How annoying having the class C car continually within reach? Compromised your corner speed and hampered eixt speed, AARGH.

Excellent driving, massive respect.

Yes, the class C car is a pain in the butt and spoils what might have turned into second place after the restart - both Andy and the class C lemon catch Hans, possibly because of traffic slowing him? Andy was lapping a fair bit quicker than the class C car so I reckon without him in the way, Andy might well have caught Hans a couple of laps earlier and thus might have been able to pass him :-(

Robin

That looks ace (it's the first footage I've seen as I don't have Sky).

Don't forget Andy if you ever need someone to drive it - I'm your man. You might be busy or consider your time beter spent chasing umbrella girls.

Without question.

Great footage Andy, keep up the good work.

Can I just say, I thought your lines were EXCELLENT. Visible improvement on so many ahead of you. Loving the dives into the hairpin, do you have really good brakes?!

GOD I love Brands Hatch! Sooo much better than Silverstone. Reminds me of F1 in the good ole days :...)

Thanks Campbell.

Using RS14's which are awesome.

Don't think my lines round Silverstone were as good, but the handicap video is pretty entertaining apart from a few laps where i'm on my ownsome!
