Exhaust and wind noise mainly.

Although on longer trips I do stick on my Archos and E2G's and listen to various stuff.

On the way up to FW I was seen bopping along to The Who (won't get fooled again - long version) and by co-incidence had the theme from local hero playing going over Glen Coe.

American Idiot is going to go down in history as an absolute masterpiece. One of the finest albums I have ever listened to, and I hated Greenday before I heard the album.

Whilst Green Day are all right I think masterpiece should be reserved for albums such as Dark Side of the Moon. 8)

I really do think the two albums are in the same league. DSOTM has had a long time to engrave itself into our consciousness as a classic, but I think American Idiot could also gain a similar status in the years to come.

Other relatively recent examples I suppose are Definately Maybe & What's the story...I think Oasis's attitude (read:Liams) have done them no favours though.

Interesting view point and obviously you are entitled to your opinion but as you say time will tell - oh and record sales I guess. When Green Day have more Ferraris than they can shake a stick at I will conceed you are indeed correct :thumbsup
