Anyone live near/in North Berwick?

I was attending a wedding in the Marine Hotel in North Berwick on Friday night. On the way out of the car park the ramp is really steep towards the pavement and I never saw the deep pothole in the pavement as it was raining and dark.

Result - loud bang and hole in the front of the clam.

If the pothole wasnt there, all would be fine but since it is, Elises cannot exit without the car scraping off the pavement.

Cost to repair about £300. Trying to get hotel to settle immediately without my insurance company getting involved.

I'd be most grateful if there is anyone close by that is willing to photograph the offending hole and forward to me as this would assist in my claim. Please let me know if you can as it would save me a 2 hour round trip.

If not - and you are planning to visit this hotel - park in the street instead.

Just been thinking about this, is this not an issue with the council rather than the hotel?! :scratch

Beat me to it - depends where the "pavement" is - is it in the grounds of the hotel or on the perimeter, where the car park meets the main road?

This was suggested by the hotel although they said they had a responsibility to inform the council of damages.

The pavement is in a public area of ground I believe.

Had a similar problem with the Exige at the same place in March.
The only way I could get out was to reverse down the ramp.
