Have cash ready end of week
The original lotus warranty only lasts 2 years, so are you not ruling out a lot of cars by insisting on it? If I was buying a used S2 Exige I would be looking at condition and mileage first, age and whether or not it has a bit of warranty left would be much lower down the list. Agree air con is essential though!
BTW 9 of 10 black Elises/Exiges over a couple of years old I have ever seen look a bit tatty. Black Exiges do look great when new but it is the worst colour for showing up minor chips and scratches.

Agree with Mark.
For info, my Exige was 14 months old when I got it, so had 10months warranty, and I used it to get a new CD player, then it ran out and I had it the car for another 6 months - never needed warranty again, as most "problems" were easy to sort.

sadly true on the showing up the stonechips front. IMHO, black is best

I would've loved to have Ed's old stealth exige

have you looked at :
http://www.jmgroup.co.uk/find_a_car/sea ... Submit.y=7
also give them a call. Not all cars on their books make it to the site + you get a 1 year warrenty etc ... if something pops up that meets your spec they will let you know.
Thats where i went
Good luck
