Browser hangs when clicking last post link on forum

Sometimes, when I click on the little page icon for the link to the last post in a thread, when viewing "posts since last visit", my browser hangs and I can't click stop/back/forward or any other links on the page. Results in me having to quit the browser and come back into the forum, meaning that I've lost sight of half of the posts since my last visit and have to trawl through manually.
Anyone else ever experience this? Happens to me at least once every couple of days.
Using Firefox on Mac OS X.
