Sky + Playing Up

Folks,

As I was away at my sisters wedding for the weekend had to Sky + the F1 on Sunday.

Got back and discovered that it had not taped it. Did anyone else experience this as wondering whether ITV maybe updated the programme listing and it was lost. Did the same to the French GP as well.

Been able to record other stuff so think it may just be limited to the ITV F1 coverage.

Cheers

I set Sky+ in case not in to watch it and didn't record GP either - qualifying was recorded but race not.

Was it a pay-for event? I didn't record it either, but then I didn't set Sky+ to do it either, doh! :tard

Must be the listings then with some update being performed. Will make a call to Sky tonight and complain. Will see what they come back with.

Nice to see it is not just me but not good that it happens.

I thought it may be a ploy by Sky to think your box is playing up and then get you to upgrade to HD :)

Good luck in phoning them !! iI hate these press option..., then press, then press... and so it goes on. I was on to them last week -20 MINS of options and hold before I got to talk to a real person

It's a fault with Sky+, I've tried complaining, they know about it but don't have a solution. Accept it or get rid of it are the only options. Mine seems much better now that they're doing this Anytime TV thing.

Mine recorded it ok. Wasn't allowed to watch it as the g/f wanted to go out.

Only trouble I have with Sky + at the mo, is that it's full of Home and Away, women eh!!

I'm surprised - I didn't think any real people actually worked at Sky... ;)

I cancelled my Sky+ a couple of months back due to the amount of jumps and mising parts in my recordings. It's unreal. I was watching Motors TV on Friday evening (live) and it was shocking... went through to the other room and watched it on my old Sky Box... it was fine.

Stood in the hall and watched both TV's at the same time and the Sky+ box is skipping about mad. Swapped the 2 cables at the back of the Sky+ box as the 2nd seemed to have a better signal strength... no difference. When on the roof and swapped the cables around on the LNB... no difference. Regardless what LNB/cable combination used my Primary connection on Sky+ has the worst signal strength of all 3 in the house.

Loada crap...

Oh, and I agree with the amount of options on Sky's number being too many. I was in their Telecoms team as a contractor for the best part of 5 years and on a few occassions did try to tell them that they should limit it to 3 layers maximum with as few options as possible at each layer... hey ho.

Andy.
