I ****ing hate MG with a passion!!!! (non lotus contents)

Post by Jamie84 » Tue Jul 17, 2007 9:06 pm

Less than a week before my lotus arrives , and the Mgtf has fcuk up again. Car has only been home for 3 weeks since gettin its second head gaskit done in an year . Coming home from cambuslang i felt the clutch gettin stiff and feeling though it was gonna seize up , just came on gradually now its completely gubbed ! Striped it down and taken out the cylinder type thing at rear of car for a look seems to be ok . Is the clutch getting stiff a tell tale sign for any problem ?

also dont suppose anyone knows any MG specialists round glasgow ?

PS. Either on here or seloc , i recently read someone was thinkin bout gettin an MGtf for the missus . Honestly its the worst car ever, think iv spent like 5k on it in last 2 years . I dont actually own the car its my mums, i still cant persuade her to part with it !

bring on the lotus so its not my prob anymore

I used to take my MG's to Dreadnought... didn't trust Arnolds, and I had 2 bad services with Nobles.

I would Imagine it will be one of the clutch release fork bearings. There isn't much else in the system. Problem is if it is one of them its a gearbox out job... :(

Does the TF have a Clutch Master & Slave cylinder? My ZS did and the slave ones were prone to going... usually in heavy traffic/jams. Luckily mines didn't.
