alright guys , took the exige for a spin tonight ..wasnt hammering it too much used second cam only few time , noticed a smell of oil from the back . looked under the car to see oil pishing from somewere
apon further inspection it kinda smells like hydraulic oil....defo isnt engine oil.
car is still under warrenty , so gonna call MMC tomorow , i take it they will sort is even if it wasnt purchased from them ?
anyone got any ideas ?

Will leave that for someone technically minded to work that one out, get you to tighten some tops and diagnose whether it is driveable or not!

Any puddles? Any other symptoms? The only hyds are the clutch and brakes... I would want to be sure of the fault before driving anywhere

as you need both

Call the AA if in doubt

just puddle underneath center of tray ( there is 3 triangle cut out in undertray) , dripping from middle one...oil is pretty thin ..

if its a Lotus warranty you get AA cover with it, should also cover hire car for 48 hours. Keith

Call MMC have them make the decision. If it is "don't drive it" they'll pick it up...

There is every chance it's just gearbox oil from overfilling the box - is the car new?
However, driveshafts and gearboxes are expensive and losing clutch fluid = losing brake fluid, so unless you can identify the source of the leak you really do need to exercise caution ... if in doubt, get it towed.

Check the level of brake fluid, should be full.
