Wanna buy an expensive parrot?scottyf wrote:Our Budgie died this morning. Had the wee bugger since he was a chick. 11 years. He used to always sit on the back of the office chair while I was working. So in an attempt to cheer myself up I just bought one of these:

I have a big Umbrella Cockatoo, and a 1.5 year old African Grey. He's an absolute hoot - talks, sings, swears, copies anything, anyone, any noise it hears he can do.scottyf wrote:I would love a parrot. But I dont think it would get the attention it deserves in our house. Kids rule the roost (no pun intended)!
I like birdsbut the wife isnt so keen.
Cockateils are great wee birds, however personally I would go for a pair of well paired love birds. They will amuse each other, look lovely and have a beautiful song.Brigita wrote:How about a cockatiel then...!!??

Oh yeah, sorry! I once had 4 budgies in a week die on me. I was a little mental, lived in a two bedroom flat, with the girl and a kid. 15 budgies, 4 cockatails and two lovebirds.scottyf wrote:The post was really just to show you the CAF chair I'd boughtShug wrote:Scotty - sad to hear about the loss, but the rest of the thread - WTF?![]()
