Good going folks.... So much for the forum dying out after a couple of months!

One you boss's fancy setting up a wee Marketing Thread with a poll.
"Where did you hear of Scottish Elises.com"
Sticker
Yahoo
Google
Current Member
etc
I can't make it a sticky thread.

yeah i don't think this is going to die away as we had suspected it might.
we have a good bit of chat going on here and you do bump into SE members even when you're not looking for them!

More than that - I think this has actually saved the Yahoo groups from going under.
If you have to watch Cbeebies 24/7 then you eventually turn it off.
Choice is a great thing.

When I got my car and joined in April it was dead, a lot busier now.
Would be interesting to know how folk get here, I was told of it over on the Yahoo group, but folks said nobody used it. Until now!

The format here is so much better. I'm surprised that none of the techy guys can sort out a cross post with yahoo.

Yep - I used to use it like a forum and was constantly whining about it. It's part of the reason I was one of the first to jump over here and start pushing it.
I've now gone to using the mails along with Gmail, which is good at threading things... It works, but it's not as good as a forum for what I want. There are others who do prefer receiving mails and not having to sift through things online - so Yahoo will continue I'm sure.
Each to their own and I'm glad we now have the choice

It's not impossible. I could do it given enough time but tbh, I can't be arsed as I do that kind of stuff all day at work and am sick of it by 5.00
