I have a few days off and I'm planning on heading up the west coast. I'm thinking about heading towards Fort William, up to Applecross and beyond!
So looking for tips on routes, places to see and places to stay...prob a 3 day trip. Will be leaving from Arbroath and any routemeister recommendations would be appreciated

Steve,
You have to go to the Applecross Inn, the rooms are clean but fairly basic, however the food is awesome, Applecross itself is beautiful with some nice walks etc.
We came across Plockton on the way down from Applecross and it is also fairly 'quaint' but you need to go on Calum's famous seal boat trip! Calum whos boat it is, is good fun and you get it free if you dont see any seals!
Other than that we visited Loch Torridon and had a meal in the torridon hotel which was really nice!
Just my 2p!

Just back from 2 nights at the Torridon Inn / Hotel (in the Passat not the Elise). Drove on many of the roads we used for TT2007 (got my fix).
Went via Inverness, Achnasheen, Kinlochewe, Torridon, then returned by Sheildaig, Applecross, Bealach na Ba (!!!) and back to Achnasheen again. Roads were generally clear and we kept up the pace at many tuts !
Go for it - would support what Dave said about food in Applecross Inn (fab King Scallops) and Torridon Inn (SeaBass) or Hotel (posh breakfast).
Hope you speak good Polish !
