Hi Guys

Was chatting with Andy G last night and he suggested that I post up to see if there was any interest in me being a mobile work shop for the week of the 8th to the 16th of September.

The idea being that SLS comes to you, and saves you a trip to Edinburgh?

Thought it might appeal to the West Coast crew, but would be happy to hear from anyone who would like the car serviced at home.

Would really appreciate your feedback with this, as I'm hoping Mr Gordon might just have stumbled on another way i can clearly differentiate the service i offer.

Ali, I think that would be a great idea for you to do that, especially for servicing and basic stuff, it shouldn't be too much hassle.


I need to get in touch with you for a service anyway, so either mobile or take to you is okay with me.

I'd book up if I had any spare money at the mo, but holiday spend is killing me.

Definitely interested in that....its a PITA having to take a day off work to get the car serviced at the moment.

Fantastic idea, not needing a service for a while yet but this would be of huge benefit when the time came.

Excellent idea. I am not that far out of Edinburgh, but having someone come to me to service the car when the time comes would save all the usual hassle of dropping the car off and picking it up. Assume you can stamp the service book and provide a service job sheet just so the history is nice and complete when the time comes to sell?

If you are in Glasgow for the day then I'd have you do an A Service for me.

Occasional trips to the West Coast for jobs you can do without a workshop sounds like a fantastic idea. I'm sure there are people out there with things which need attention but which don't justify a day off work to sort.

If I get my finger out and cleared the garage you could always use that for doing West Coast services.

There's a good train/bus service from Blantyre station.

Just recently had mine serviced, but there area a couple of minor things I had planned contacting you about.

If these could be fitted in to help fill a day when you were working on someone else's in the area, then I'd be up for it.

Fabulous idea but again not needing anything at the moment* but will, inevitably, soon.

Ali, once I get a new car I'd definitely make use of such a service. Would save me a lot of hassle coming through to Edinburger.

Would this have to be at someone's home address or could you even do it in an office car park if there was room?

Miight be worth listing minimum requirements you would need to do work eg off road, garage, power point etc
