Really weird this one...
from about two wks ago sisters laptop does not allow the repeated use of any key if presed twice within about 2 secs. have gone to control panel - all good there.

so if writing "week" it's w,e, 2secs, e, k. even if you keep whacking "e" it wont recognise til you have waite two secs!

Any ideas guys?

The only thing I could have thought of was the cursor blink rate within the keyboard properties.... but you've already done that

the laptop was droped onto a tiled floor 3mths ago. screen has big black streaks but all else good...

Bin it & buy a new one
