It's not £170, but it's less than the standard cost. It's a main dealer and can't compare price-wise with independents. Some folk still want to have a full main dealer history and this helps. If you just want the cheapest service, then there's no doubt a good independent is the way.

Cheers Shug, spoke to Graeme and it was £269 inc VAT which is definitely better and like you say, helps with the service history. :thumbsup

As one who said i would never use the service department of mmc again and have been using Lotus Motor Sport to look after the cars what a surprise to pick up the Elise SC today from Craig at MMC. What a credit to the company Craig is and the team which is behind him. After speaking to Craig over the last few months and reading the comments here i handed the Elise in for 18k mile service . All work carried out to the highest standard and that bit extra. Great to see the mark now has the back up that it deserves here in Scotland. So all in highly delighted with the exellent service I received and would'nt hesitate to use them again and the account was very good to .

Handed in my exige for a replacement windscreen last weekend. I also asked Craig to check over the heater/AC as I wasn't convinced it was perhaps as cool as it should be. I also knew that this was a clam off job and as the windscreen was an insurance job, it was an excellent chance to change the heater resistor pack as a preventive measure anyway.

Top service from Craig and the team once again, with regular updates and quotes of the repair for the insurance company. Thanks.

Many thanks also to Graeme for the coffee, test drive and not forgetting the banter :)

Also big :thumbsup to Heritage/Chaucer with regards to the claim. they authorised the quote after 2 business days. I emailed them a copy of the paid invoice on Wednesday and the cheque was received this morning.

Hi, just picked my Elise up on Friday after being serviced & MOT'd. I only bought the car last summer so it's the first time and the service from Craig & the guys at Murray was excellent (as it was from Graeme when purchasing).

It needed some tyres and a few other bits & pieces and Craig was very helpful with keeping me informed with progress and trimming the prices to make the bill a bit more friendly! As far as I'm concerned, decent customer service makes a massive difference and it's great to have a dealer that is keen to build a relationship with the owners/enthusiasts.

Thanks again,
Mike.

A big thank you to Craig and his team! I got my car back last week after having the 30k service, aircon refreshed, new radiator, cooling fans, toe links and various other bits and pieces sorted.

Craig was a joy to deal with and kept me fully up to date with their progress from start to finish. No work was done unless I had given prior approval. He worked hard to ensure the warranty company paid for as much as possible and also did his best to ensure the bill I was finally presented was a sharp as he could possible make it – thanks SE discount!!

Whilst the car was with them, geo was done. What a difference that has made, handles so much better now than before or even when I first got it. Craig also arranged for discs to be skimmed and refreshed rather than hit me with a bill for a new set. I hadn’t realised that the brake fluid change was part of the service and thought I was going to have to sort this myself, makes their prices even better value for money if you factor this in.

When I collected the car, was talked through the invoice, all the numbers were explained. Paper work well organised and my service book was stamped. Even got to drive about in a Suzuki Splash for a week which was awesome! I did ask for a shot of an aston but it wasn’t to be!

I would definitely recommend anyone thinking of using them to give them ago.

Thats all for now.

I echo what Ross has just said - my car has just been in for its 2 year service and Craig and the team sorted everything out quickly and efficently and fixed and few niggles as part of the service.

Picked the car up today and was taken through the paperwork with all the number explained and all at a very reasonable price thanks to the SE discount

Car was cleaned inside and out as well which is always a nice touch

Keep up the good work MMC - i will be back

Cheers

Another great service from Craig, Alan and the team at MMC yesterday. Smooth, trouble free service from initially booking the car in a week ago, to Keith looking after things as I dropped the car off in the morning.

The car was ready on time, with everything attended to, and being talked through what was done. A nice touch, even if it was only the running in service.

Can't praise them enough.

Thanks again guys!

We just made use of ours too (after searching for ages to find the voucher). Great prize indeed :thumbsup

A big thanks to Craig and the team for fixing my multitude of problems without bankrupting me! Extra :thumbsup for going above and beyond and staying back late on Thursday night to get it back on the road - much appreciated! Even Craig was getting his hands dirty - I hope the shirt washed out. Way beyond the service you'd expect from any dealership.
Its good to see that things at MMC have made such a vast improvement. Hopefully I'll not be back until my next service though.

Thanks again

Another big :thumbsup :thumbsup to Craig and Keith at MMC. Car shipped by the AA after water pump failed and no probs fitting my car in. Fixed that problem while carrying out "C" service and even managed a great deal on total price.
As an extra Craig even managed to source me a new case for my alarm remote which had broken an no extra charge.
Customer service is second to none from my experience of other garages always explaining what was going on and giving the option of work to be done or not rather than just landing you with a huge bill at the end.
Have used SLS in the past and generally like to support the little guy but with customer service and communication like that combined with reasonable costs (thanks SE discount!) I'll definitely be using MMC again.

Thanks again
Ali

PS and my car is even clean, I'd forgotten what colour it was supposed to be!

I've got to echo the praise for MMC and Craig.I've just had a service completed at Murray and the customer service provided is second to none. I'm sure I could get the service done cheaper elsewhere, but I don't think the service could be any better, and it's worth the small difference in cost for the dealer stamp and excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate to use Murray again.

I can also confirm that Craig and the boys are on top form in terms of customer service and satisfaction. They are always busy but Craig always finds the time to chat about the cars/service/support. 100% recommended - keep up the great work/service guys!

I should also add my belated thanks to MMC for getting me a couple of A039 tyres and delivering them through their network to Belmont about 200yards from the house. It couldn't have been easier. With discount and no delivery extras the best deal around and not too much more than 48's.
