:thumbsup as well for Murrays. Had car in for 27K service couple of weeks ago and to get engine mount inserts fitted. Got SE discount on the service and on the fitting of the mounts and happy with the service.

:cheers to MMC for another good service on my car. They called to say that there was nothing untowards found and upon my arrival, explained the itemised bill fully.

Thanks to Craig and staff at Sighthill.

Quick one to thank Craig for some impromptu phone fault diagnosis on Elaine's car. Bit of to-ing and fro-ing but his input was invaluable and freely given.

Also thanks to Craig for providing some background on a used car I was considering in a private sale. He was able to give me the low down on it :thumbsup

Seemed to be a solid car, but have decided against it as it was a touch on the expensive side and decided to bide my time.

And another...

Service Last week was brilliant, the Volvo front of house guys are really nice to deal with, and the car was so shiny it almost looked new.

A joy to deal with

Well I think I should write up my piece after getting my car back from MMC today...

Back in the day of Bill, I vowed never to use Murrays service department ever again after the trouble that I had every time I went in there. Well I'm very glad to report that my experience this time has left me completely chuffed and already planning my next visit with Craig!

As per my post a month or so back in Technical about replacing my suspension, I decided to go for it through MMC. After long chats with Craig discussing my requirements, worries etc, he sorted me out with dampers, springs, drop links and a full alignment - and booked my car in for 8am today. Picked it back up at 5pm (fastest turn around I have ever experienced probably anywhere, never mind a main dealer........) and Craig talked me through the entire bill, the alignment details and generally how it all went in full detail. The Exige is now running new softer suspension with the alignment sorted to compensate and I'm delighted with it now :thumbsup Fell back in love with the car after a good drive tonight - don't feel any difference on road handling apart from a much more comfortable ride. Getting the drop links replaced removed the noise from the front which has been causing me a headache for months now!

I have to say that service, price and the overall experience was ace from Craig and the guys. A big thumbs up from me :thumbsup It's good to know that MMC is running at its best and i'll definitely use again!

Oh and the showroom is still looking great, even though it's slightly smaller than before!

:cheers

A massive thanks to Craig at MMC!

Some of you may have read about the problem I had with my stack unit. I put it into MMC to get the fault diagnosed. It became apparent that the stack unit could not be repaired and had to be replaced! To buy and fit this unit is not cheap!

I left it with Craig to discuss with the warranty company. To be honest I was expecting it not to be covered and as Craig knew I had to replae it either way I wasn't expecting much. However, Craig contacted my and informed me that the unit and the work could be carried out under the warranty!

The unit was replaced and the car was dropped back off at my house within days of me handing over the keys.

The entire service from start to finish was second to none! Craig kept me in the loop throughout and helped in any way he could.

When I bought the car from MMC I had hoped not to have to go back as dealers typically charge through the roof and provide an unpersonal service. MMC have proved to me that they are different and most certainly look after the customer where possible. I will now use MMC for any work I need done.

Cant thank Craig and the guys enough!

Dave

Just had my car at MMC for the yearly service - Criag and his team carrie dout a superb job from start to finish.

Criag allowed me to provide my own engine and gearbox oil which was good! Price ws reduced accordingly for this which was also good!

Dropped the car off in the Saturday morning - discussd what was to be completed on the car including a few little additonal items. Technician then came out to discuss the workscope and see the car so everything was captured.

Got a phonecall at 1800 on Saturday night to say that the service had been completed and that the car was available for pick-up on the Sunday morning - I was also provided with a detailed description of all work completed.

Arrived on Sunday - was talked through the bill and paid for it. Collected my car which had been washed with no issues.

No issues at all - don't think it can really get any better for customer service! I will definetely be back if an when required.

Cheers

If you're going to buy the big brakes, I have a set of CL pads to go with it that I don't need; new & unused.

Cheers,

How big are you going with the brakes Lewis? I've got a set of AP's (295 front and 288 rear) that I could be persuaded to part with - just havent got round to putting them in classifieds.

Robin - if the pads fit the 4-pot calipers I'll buy them off you

I've just had my Elise S2 serviced and MoT'd at MMC - went in with some doubts but came away impressed!
A coolant leak was spotted that threatened some major wallet damage but thankfully the warranty from my October purchase covered it and the guys sorted it out in a couple of days.
With no prompting Craig offered a deal on replacement front drop links and together with the SE discount I feel I got good value for the official dealer stamp.
All back smartly valeted and ready for fun! :thumbsup

Thanks for the offers guys... :D

I believe my right disc has some form of defect (warped/cracked) but not been able to have a proper look at it yet. Still brakes perfectly however it is making a catching noise on the caliper during gentle braking - gave them a quick look over with my phone as a torch and couldn't spot anything obvious although they have a bit of a lip on them so probably need changing anyway.

Was thinking of the 308mm AP 4 Pot set up, which are designed to fit within the 16" standard rim (it's tight but it does fit - tried and tested) or go for the O/E Lotus AP 4 Pot set up (295 I believe?) from Craig at MMC - just depends on what type of deal I get. Wanted to do it for ages so definitely going to go for it at this brake change, just a PITA that the clam needs to come off to fit the side exit hoses.
