Just bought some stuff on the phone, Ross in parts was mega helpful and called / faxed me back a couple of times within minutes, and SE discount was applied. Stuff is getting sent to Shields Road on Monday, cant fault that :thumbsup

Still ongoing - feedback will be extensive, put it that way...

Can't fault Craig's almost obsessional drive to sort things though.

I've been burnt too many times to deal with them again.

Sad but true :(

Is this something Craig has sanctioned? If so, he hasn't notified me to inform the group!

Car serviced yesterday by MMC, wife took it down and got a days shopping in Edinburra at the same time so all happy.
The SE discount worked fine, only charged for A service, no extras, completed mid afternoon - didn't even charge for replacing the horn fuse which I had pulled to stop me honking at folk inadvertently while negotiating KH (stupid placement of horn buttons on these new wheels). Must remember to pull it again before next TD.
So I think reasonable charges and decent service from MMC. :thumbsup

I've spent some time in discussions with Craig over the last week or two with a view to getting some work done on my SC. Other than the strange LSS suspension setting issue (at least 7 years ago) my experience with the servicing/repair side of Murray Lotus has been neutral.

I was nervous about getting this work done as (without going into detail  ) it involves a bit of paint and gearbox work. Both these areas have the strong possibility of coming back to haunt me if not done well, so there was no way the car was going in without lot's of re-assurance and a good understanding of the options and outcomes.

So far, excellent, car went in at 11 today, Craig has just called to let me know that the gearbox is out already, all the warranty items are approved and on order and all the other work is already underway  by my reckoning we are about 3 days ahead of schedule after 6 hours..

The proof of course is in the final outcome, but it's obvious that there is a real push by Craig to get the customer satisfaction part right and I'm happy to spread the news. If you are thinking about getting something done then I'd recommend having a chat.

PS, Ali C, your lucky you got your car back, the part I need for mine was so close to being pilfered of your's when it was in bits :D luckily Kirk thought you would notice it missing even if I replaced it with a shiney bit of carbon fibre..

JJ... you are a lucky man,
The Parts Apprenice has got 2 + 2 to equal anything but 4...

Craig has seen your post and will work on something with the Parts Manager that may of benefit to SE.

To be honest, your posting has started the ball rolling for possible further discounts for SE :thumbsup

I used to get a discount but that was through the OLC.

The OLC discount, IIRC, was a discount applicable only for accessories and not actual car spare parts - as I discovered years ago.

MIght have been Del - I got it on a motorsport ARB - I suppose you could class that as an accessory as the car already had one
