A glowing report for Mr Moncrieff and his team

I didn't want this to get lost in the Murray's thread so I hope you don't mind me writing a wee bit in a new topic...

Some of you will know we are planning a wee trip in the Summer so I thought I'd put it into Murrays for a wee health check before heading off. I had read much about their service and heard many of you praise them in the past but despite this I was not expecting the supreme level of service that I and the car received.
After an initial email and phone call from Craig the car went down for C service, water pump, MOT and check over.
I was updated frequently with the progress of the car and it very nearly worked out that every time Craig phoned me he saved me money!
I was shocked to learn that for the last 6 years my rear dampers were on upside down, despite being fitted "professionally" and the car passing 5 MOTs (ok not a requirement for MOT but you'd think someone would realise). He suggested this might help to explain the slightly lively back end, that and the worn EP toe link which had only lasted 900 miles.
I collected the car last weekend, Craig had come in on his day off to say hello, and tiptoed up a very wet A90. I've been able to put a few more miles on the car this week and it feels totally transformed. I'm much more confident with the handling, it feels much more stable and Craig and his team and have given me my confidence back in the car again.

I want to take the opportunity to thank Murrays again for such an excellent, professional and friendly service. Now I completely understand why so many people on here rave about them!

Cheers

:drive

The banter is available without the responsibility of an S1...just take along a couple of lattes from nearby Costa Edin Park Station :-)

So thats what happened at Knockhill, all this talk of talent from everyone, I knew it wasn't your fault :D

Always good to hear this about Murrays, thinking about booking mine in shortly, might give you a call reference some costings if that ok.

Somehow that sausage has had his ear firmly to the ground and found out my plans, only the morning after I struck the deal on the car... Anyway he knows the car intimately and has done a lot of work on it to date, so he got in touch this morning offering his assistance with some aspects of the project including sourcing parts and doing some possible conversion works for me! What a true gent! He has already spent some time routing about getting info for me, looking forward to getting the car into him at some point to have some tasty treats implimented :thumbsup

Good to get back to using Craig again, two plastic end caps missing from the roof bars, in the post the next day.

Arranged to take in N3.5 during the day of the next SIDC evening for a once over before Spazz.

And roof bars for it. You really have lost it ;-)

Maybe the car was upside down when the suspension was fitted, and it was the only thing that was the right way up on the car ?
