Couldn't be happier finding out Craig had set up on his own and has Callum and the good guys with him. Takes the risk of getting someone else at Murray's out of the equation. :D

I've had the car up there twice since he's gone solo and both times it's been handled EXACTLY as you'd hope. Brilliant care, nothing's too much trouble, everything attended to (and a little bit more,) very reasonable price, car was washed and ready for me when he said it would be.

I can't think of anywhere or any people better to entrust with the care of what is a fairly unique little car.

Many thanks to Craig and his team for another brilliant job.
He re commissioned my Cossie after it sat in my garage for 30 months
Car was serviced, MOT'd, with lots of parts fitted and issues addressed. He also got his "trimmer" to rebuild my saggy seat!!!!
The car was returned with an instruction from Craig "make sure you drive it this time".
What a revelation, the car drives beautifully and offers another driving experience to the Exige............
I look forward to watching Craig and his team build a really successful business, based on their pride, passion and dedication to customer service.
Cheers
Ian

just back from craigs new garage and i have to say i'm impressed.

to start up in such a professional way from the off is good going. the garage is packed but at the same time it's possible to actually see and TALK TO the guy working on your car. now i know this is probably putting him off his work but still, i've had lotus' and porsche for years now and how often do you actually SEE the guy working on your motor? let alone be able to wander up and talk to the bloke!?

garage is totally spotless, the clients cars are lined up and those half way thru a job have a nice big lotus sheet on them, almost like they're resting a bit lol.

Also it's nice to see Craig look er less stressed and frantic than normal. there is certainly a feeling that everything is under control, nothings a problem it's all just going to plan. i had a more stressful visit to starbucks than i did to craigs!

there's certainly a new lotus specialist in scotland and if craig ever decides to start selling cars i think murray's may have a problem

Great to see that Craig's new business has hit the ground running! Long may it continue! :thumbsup

Annual service & MOT completed very professionally and at a surprisingly reasonable cost.
Craig also managed to get my 3rd party warranty to cough a sizeable donation towards a new heater motor resistor pack.
I was enjoying the experience so much I had the rear diffuser powder coated while the car was on the ramps too!

Car is now looking & running better than ever! :)

Neat. Look forward to the web launch for those of us still in the Facebook-less net wilderness ;-)

I'm told it is in hand :thumbsup as like you I'm in the wilderness and quite like it! I only know that much as I offered my son's skill set a while back (as his job) and Craig has done work on his MX5 previously.

Big service completed and MOT passed with flying colours (apart from rear tyres being borderline!) this was viewed as positive as they only went on less than 2500 miles ago! Great service from a top bloke. Great value too!

First visit to the new place and came away very impressed. Craig and the guys fitted a replacement camera to the evora for next to no money and even washed it into the bargain. Place is spotless and the customer service is as high as i'd expected. Attention to detail even went as far as printing off a new invoice as the "paid" stamp went on upside down. :D

Will be back for my service and mot

I met Craig for the first time today, certainly seems a very professional outfit and the workshop is spotless!

C Service, MOT, Heated windscreen and a general check-over to create a to-do list really.

Craig even gave me a lift to the station :)

Big thanks to Craig. I had left my car with him for 4 weeks while offshore for a number of things to be done from some body parts being replaced at rear, changing A pillar trims to Carbon, adding the front splitter, arranging wheels to be refurbished, upgrading the ICE to DAB radio and identifying a myriad of squeaks and rattles. Not only that I was run to the airport at crack of dawn and picked up late although I had fully planned on taxi's. OUTSTANDING service and the car was even washed which you would not expect from an independent in his circumstances. The workshops you could eat your dinner off the floor and after a visit back yesterday with more wheels for refurbishing SWMBO thinks the "rest room" is at 5* hotel standard so no worry about rolling up with SWMBO in tow.

One of the squeaks from the engine area turned out to be a slipping auxiliary drive belt which has stretched possibly with overcooking on a track day so self inflicted which is a fairly big job and Lotus would have you believe engine out, but Craig and the boys have found a way to avoid this so BIG thanks there. Throughout the whole process I was kept fully appraised of the various steps and likely costs and despite fearing the worse for a total and having everything itemised I am sure I have had a particularly fair estimate of man-hours involved. Can't say fairer than that and I'll be back with other family cars for sure.

His workshop looked very healthily busy with a wide range of 'cars' from LR defender and a Dodge Ram pick up down to Elises and a DB5. He deserves to succeed if he continues as he has started.

As already noted his Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/craigmoncrieffcars?fref=ts ) is now up and running and so is his website ( http://craigmoncrieff.com ) and Instagram (https://instagram.com/craigmoncrieffcars/ )as off 2 days ago. Good luck Craig.

Er.....Good point well made!! :? What I had in my head at the time of writing was the Elise parked just behind this monster truck of a Dodge Ram that wouldn't even feel the Elise if you drove over it! Honest. Actually the garage was littered with Elises in all stages of undress which was fascinating and as a potential buyer of one with son soon, this was great to see as Craig was showing me things to look for. :thumbsup
