Mint car care

Post by Lazydonkey » Wed Feb 14, 2018 7:43 pm

To celebrate the evora now belonging to me rather than a finance house I thought I'd get the car properly derailed while it was being serviced at CMC.

Craig recommended Kenny at Mint car care and he came over the inspect the car and give me a quote.

I've never done anything like this before but i just asked myself what would ddtb do?

So I decided to get married again

Only joking, I decided on a two stage correction and then a ceramic costing with a two year guarantee.

At the end of the day Kenny and his team put 37 hours into the car and the end result was simply incredible. Clearly it wasn't cheap but the results were well worth it.

I'm sure you all know what a shiny white evora looks like but if you don't...

Err... how dirty was it that required it to need "decontamination" before they did anything ?

Martin, Any chance you can PM me details of what it cost? I am thinking that Ceramic coating will be a good idea to save some time & effort.

You mean what it really cost, or what he told Mrs Donkey it cost?

Looks fab, I'm sold on the idea!

Just make sure you get a decent coating if you go for it.

The Gtechniq stuff that Donkey got gets a great rep.

I applied Carpro CQuartz to the wife’s car a few years back and it was also great.

I really wanted a ceramic coating on mine but was struggling for time so paid a detailer to do it.
I figured all ceramic coatings were much of a muchness so was happy for him to use ‘Krypton 5’ with a 3 year guarantee, graffiti proof blah blah blah.

Have never been particularly happy with the shine or the beading, I wish I’d just bought some more CQuartz and done it myself.

Yes that was me. Sorrreeeee :D

Craig dropped me at mint to pick up car but I forgot (much to the utter disgust of my toddler) to pick up the various SE pony items I had to collect so had to pop past. Didn't even see you sitting in car

I told mrs donkey it was expensive. She said "like almost £200 expensive?"

I felt it was best to leave the conversation there.

There was room for me to get out, but when you came back out to move I thought i should be gracious enough to go past. :-|

Ah, fair enough. Mark had done my Evora and VX a couple of times and was pleased with the results.
