Black W reg S1, Byres Road

Post by Sassy » Wed May 10, 2006 9:11 am

Last night.

I was parking at the 24/7.

When I came out I had a drunk crazy man draping himself across the bonnet, trying to talk to me and taking pics (probably of the road the state he was in). Even the homeless guy was appalled.

I've had the very same (just with a silly wee girl on Sauchiehall St) ages ago, on the return trip from a Dukes Pass BBQ.

She was, how to say, ample.

Laid face front on the bonnet and had a knocker in each radiator outlet - I think she may have burned them, as she leapt off with quite a start ;)

Lovely evening other than that though - Byres Rd the place to be when the sun shines!

Sorry Sass - Computer say no....

Place to be on a sunny day is on a mountain road in the Elise - Roof off at 120tuts with not another car (or Gatso) for miles....

Well if when I have the time to get out of the city and the sun to still be shining, then I'd agree!

I'm torn between the two to be honest.

Blat in the car vs a few cold ones at a table beside the pavement watching the world go by.

Too close to chose - perhaps one one day and the other on another day.

Guess I'm lucky - hang a left out of my street, then a right and another left and in 2 minutes I'm on country driving roads... 15 minutes later I can feel in the middle of nowhere.

Worked in the city for near enough a year there.... Never again, I'm afraid. Used to spend all of my free time in Glasgow (socialising & clubbing - loved every second) but it's once in a blue moon now and I honestly don't miss it.

Does this make me old?

Well we went to the Rock and Cottiers last night, both were so busy it took ages to get served and you couldn't get a seat outside.

I actually found myself envying the people passing in their (mostly convertible) cars!
